Evolutionists deceptively push the idea that evolution is compatible with “religion.” Science groups seek more churches to embrace evolution. The two main movers behind this deceptive coup into the churches are the National Center for Science Education (NCSE), led by an atheist, and the Clergy Letter Project, founded by a “church-going” “theistic,” evolutionary science professor, Michael Zimmerman. Zimmerman is Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Butler University; according to his own words,
“For too long, the misperception that science and religion are inevitably in conflict has created unnecessary division and confusion, especially concerning the teaching of evolution. I wanted to let the public know that numerous clergy from most denominations have tremendous respect for evolutionary theory and have embraced it as a core component of human knowledge, fully harmonious with religious faith.”1
However, the questions to be asked is, “Is evolutionary theory fully harmonious with religious faith”?  We will address the answer momentarily. On the Letter Project home page we find this statement, “The Clergy Letter Project is an endeavor designed to demonstrate that religion and science can be compatible and to elevate the quality of the debate of this issue.”2 In light of the effort put forth by the “Clergy Letter Project,
“the NCSE is hiring a “faith project director” to develop materials on religion and science, and to represent the group to churches and Christian leaders, and the Clergy Letter Project has been busy soliciting funds for a national advertising campaign.3
In answer to the question, “Is evolutionary theory fully harmonious with religious faith”? Firstly, one must understand what should be meant by the term “religion.” The bottom line here is this, religion, simply put, is the man-made effort to satisfy his spiritual need apart from his Creator. Real Christianity is simply taking God at His Word as revealed in HIS book, the Bible. Biblical Christianity is NOT a religion, man-made or other wise; it is a personal relationship brought into existence through the NEW Birth -- the result of receiving Jesus Christ as one’s own Savior from one’ own sin through repenting of one’s bad thinking and bad actions.

Secondly, one must be aware of the danger that lurks in this strategy to harmonize “religion” with evolutionary philosophy. Hitler employed the same scheme to promote his "Third Reich" regime. By getting the clergy and other religious leaders "on board," he was able to seduce the masses until he no longer had time for their allegiance. Once his mechanism of purging society of inferior beliefs and races was in place, he carried it out to the tune of exterminating over 6 million Jews plus any one else who opposed him and this included some who were originally "on board." The believer must keep in mind that real evolutionists have no time for God because evolution explains where we came from with no need for God. Atheist Richard Dawkin’s boasts that evolution made it possible for him to become a fulfilled atheist.4 Scientist, William Provine wrote, "...belief in modern evolution makes atheists of people. One can have a religious view that is compatible with evolution only if the religious view is indistinguishable from atheism."5 Therefore any one who says they can believe in evolution and also be a "Christian" has been greatly deceived and shows his total disdain for God’s Word, and consequently total disdain for God Himself, c.f. Psalm 138:2

The antidote for this ruse is for true, Bible-believing, separated, conservitive churches to hold  Creation Sundays; or have a Creation Seminar.  Call 856 881 3544 to schedule.
